“It was exchange knowledge and inspiration activities to next generations”
A group of 35 youth in Ben Tre and other provinces in the Mekong Delta will be taken the training “Organic Farming Models” in Ba Tri District of Ben Tre Province this November 12, 2017, most of attendees are students in the high school, grade 10th.
Phan Ngoc Tong’s High School is located in coastal area of Ben Tre, the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, the communities are facing and dealing with water shortage, natural resources damage, livelihood changing and disaster risks. The students are mostly from
those communities, they would learn how to build strong community by resilient farming that are necessary demand to the people, especially organic production and biodiversity and herbal/medicine garden.
The tour will take place in one organic farming that are multiples organic farmings: rice, vegetable and fruit. The students come and practice, experience and learn to be knowledgable and inspired themselves on sustainable agriculture.
During the trip, teachers from high school, youth from Delta Youth Alliance, Y-Farm will join and share their perspectives and their experiences to the students, it was exchange knowledge and inspiration activities to next generations. The trip is supported from Y-Farm that is initiative from YSEALI Seeds 2017.
